, and that is we have been asking ourselves a question, along the lines of energy use in the city, something that has been hard for us to figure out. and that has to do with what would inspire you, as someone who lives in the city, to give your data of your own energy use in the city, like your home energy use? all that data about when you use it, what are your hot times, your cool times. how about if we try to find some way to inspire people to give us that]h data, in some coordinated way. because if we understand that 20 to 22% of our emissions comes from1ar residenl use, you can imagine if we had that data coming from every household use in the city we could break that data down with involvement of creative people like yourselves, and then try o see where there's patterns where we could lessen our carbon footprint and talk about better energy use. that's perfect for us. that's what we're going to ask this challenge to present for our next improve sf challenge for the city. and that's what we'd like to engage people in. and then hopefully, some time after this challenge is announced, and

for canadian oil and energy generally that the iea is saying that the u.s. will be able to meet its own oil and gas means in a decade? do you worry about markets for canadian energy? >> everybody knows our view on keystone. it is not just a great project, but a great security project. it makes more sense to bring north american oil into the united states than venezuelan or far eastern or middle eastern oil. there is a process in the united states. the president will let the process play out he will make a decision. i accept him at his word on that. in the context of keystone, it has been a bit of an opportunity for this country to understand that we do need to sell our energy products outside the united states. canada is the most energy of funded country in the world. canada will be a significant supplier of the energy sources of the future. it makes no sense in a global economy that we are and for canada to sell all of its energy products furtively exclusively to its own marketer or to the u.s. energy -- people in the energy business understand that have to look for other opportunities. >>

with everybody. all of the beautiful courage that it takes to be up here. a lot of energy to the healing circle as well. as a juvenile, i was in juvenile hall and i went through that whole system myself. i have worked with tattoo removal, i went to other development programs. through personal experience and being raised by a single mom and being proud of my dad imprisoned and now pursuing my education, i would say there is not one answer. the answer is that there is not an answer. you have brought about by bringing this conversation forum. it is not just law enforcement perspective, it is not just the community-based perspective, it is not just the research perspective, it is a multi- layered approach. first and foremost, we do have to consider meeting youth where they are act. we are talking about perpetrators of violence or what not or system involved or involved in gangs, we have to meet them where they are at. pain and hurt produces more hurt, right? what is fundamental it is addressing back pain -- addressing that pain. not looking at folks in a punitive way and saying, this guy is notorio

in the pacific, and all this energy being directed towards the region of the bay area. heavy rain for the morning hours. saturday periods of rain, but then by saturday night into sunday another strong storm, another potent storm still taking aim on the region. here's the forecast model. an increase in shower activity by 4:00 this afternoon. you'll notice the bulk of the action up in the northern half of the region, but look what happens tomorrow morning just in time for the morning commute. excessive rainfall rates. an extra challenge with the rainfall and strong gusty winds for the commute. easily a good 2-4 inches for the north bay. san jose around 65 degrees. more rain clouds and strong storms in the five-day forecast. your weekend always in view. tomorrow morning keeping a sharp eye on that. periods of rain on saturday, then another storm will be a strong one scheduled to move into the region first thing sunday morning. finally a breakout there, a full day of dry weather expected monday. be extra careful tomorrow morning. it will seem like yesterday's storm was not a big deal at all. >>> form

. tremendous amount of energy has been spent on the pier sites. just to show you what is sort of the general zoning restrictions on this site, you can build up to about 100 feet high with relatively small tower-type footprints above a podium. this allows itself to about 600,000 square feet of area that we could build up to. but we didn't find this very appealing. we found it very problematic. so, we are so far exploring designs that have about 100,000 square feet less than what might be allowable. we are also minimizing the height of the podium down from, it could be about 100 feet down to around 50 feet. and we're trying to compress the rest of the activities that are necessary for the site to create the appropriate cost model into a smaller footprint. some people calm them towers, but they're relatively low and certainly lower than the adjacent structure that are nearby, for example, the water mark. we understand the concerns and we're trying to work through that. there is a workshop tomorrow night. we're going to get feedback on. this we're going to try and work with that feedback to see
